25W ELEMENT

In stock

This High-quality 25 Watt Soldering Iron heating Element has fast heating efficiency and long service life.  It can be a good replacement for your old 25 Watt solder Iron heating part. Soldering iron tips are made of a copper core plated various metals including iron. The copper is used for heat transfer and the other platings are for durability. Copper is very easily corroded, eating away the tip, particularly in lead-free work; iron is not.

How to replace the heating element in a soldering iron

Replacing the heating element in a soldering iron is a relatively straightforward process. Here’s a general guide on how to do it:

  1. Disassemble the Soldering Iron: Depending on the model, you may need to unscrew or detach the handle or other parts to access the heating element. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions or consult the soldering iron’s user manual if available.
  2. Locate the Heating Element: Once you have access to the internal components, identify the heating element. It is usually a metal coil or ceramic rod located near the tip of the soldering iron.
  3. Disconnect the Wiring: Carefully disconnect the wires that are connected to the heating element. Take note of their positions or take a photo to ensure proper reconnection later.
  4. Remove the Old Heating Element: Loosen any fasteners or screws holding the heating element in place. Gently pull out the old heating element, being cautious not to damage any surrounding components.
  5. Install the New Heating Element: Take the new heating element and carefully insert it into the designated slot. Secure it in place using the appropriate fasteners or screws.
  6. Reconnect the Wiring: Reattach the wires to their corresponding terminals on the new heating element. Ensure a secure connection, double-checking the positions based on the earlier notes or photo.
  7. Reassemble the Soldering Iron: Put the soldering iron back together by reattaching or screwing in any previously removed parts, ensuring a proper fit.
  8. Test the Soldering Iron: Plug in the soldering iron and allow it to heat up. Confirm that the new heating element is functioning correctly by checking if the tip heats up to the desired temperature.
